One of the areas RD LaserCut has chosen to develop is the application of laser engraving on manufactured components. Our many years of experience in the Tool & Die industry gives us a significant advantage for the fixturing and locating of unusual or odd shaped parts. Large quantities or production runs are welcome. We have marked many different materials including but not limited to:

• Aluminum, bare and anodized

We can custom cut gaskets and acrylic components. Glass and acrylic are engravable as well.
We can also engrave round parts, with our rotary attachment.
One of our specialties is bar coding. We presently have software for 18 different industry protocols.

Tool Steel Punch

Pictured is a form punch for a CNC punch press. It is made from hardened tool steel and is engraved with the company’s ID number on a tapered surface of the die as well as radially around the stem of the punch. The marking is abrasion resistant and impervious to heat and solvents.

Anodized Aluminum Race Car Components

Shown are several race car components made of aluminum and anodized black. The part numbers are engraved after anodizing and show up as a frosted white color. The detail achievable with laser engraving is much finer and more detailed than possible with rotary engraving. Any color of anodizing may be engraved with similar results.

Bar Code

This is a piece of brushed stainless steel that has been engraved with samples of three different bar code types of the eighteen for which we have software. These codes can be marked directly on your parts or on a metal tag that can be attached by your preferred method.
